The IU Centre for Excellence in Islamic FinTech conducted a workshop on “Fundamentals of Shariah Screening: From Principles to Practical Application” for faculty members, with a particular focus on FEST faculty actively engaged in the ongoing project of digitalizing Shariah screening of stocks.
The workshop provided faculty with a grounded understanding of Shariah screening principles and their practical application within Islamic capital markets, directly supporting the Centre’s work on technology-driven stock screening solutions.
The session served as an important milestone in strengthening the project team’s collective expertise — aligning rigorous Shariah principles with the demands of digital implementation, and bringing together scholarship and innovation in service of Islamic capital market development.
