About Iqra University
Iqra University is one of Pakistan’s leading private higher education institutions, established in 1998 in Karachi and chartered by the Government of Sindh. The Center for Excellence in Islamic FinTech (IU-CEIF) is a strategic initiative established by Iqra University in collaboration with Meezan Bank Limited, Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank. The center aims to advance research, innovation, education, and industry collaboration in Islamic Financial Technology (Islamic FinTech).
IU-CEIF serves as a national and international platform bringing together academia, financial institutions, regulators, Shariah scholars, technology innovators, and entrepreneurs to develop Shariah-compliant digital financial solutions.
The Center seeks to contribute to the transformation of the financial sector through technology- driven innovation while ensuring strict adherence to Islamic financial principles.
IU-CEIF is positioned to become a regional hub for Islamic FinTech research, policy development, industry training, and innovation, connecting Pakistan’s financial ecosystem with global Islamic FinTech leaders.
